Marks Entry for Physical Evaluation

Evaluator Assignment and Review Process in ExamX Physical Evaluation

This section of the documentation delves into the processes that follow the creation of answer booklet bundles within the ExamX system. It describes the subsequent steps of evaluator assignment, marks awarding, scrutinizer review, and the completion of the evaluation.

After the scanning and bundling of answer booklets, the ExamX platform facilitates further evaluation steps through the examination management interface. Users can access this feature by selecting the specific bundle they wish to manage and proceeding with the evaluation workflow.

Viewing and Using the Feature:

The platform presents a progress tracker indicating the status of each bundle, including 'Evaluator Assigned', 'Marks Awarded', 'Chief Review', 'Scrutinizer Review', and 'Evaluation Completed'. This tracker is interactive and updates in real-time as each step in the evaluation process is completed.

Adding or Modifying Elements:

Assigning an Evaluator:

  • Select a bundle from the list and click on 'Assign Evaluator'.
  • Choose an evaluator from the list of available faculty members who are qualified to assess the subject matter.
  • Confirm the assignment, which notifies the selected evaluator to begin their review.

Awarding Marks:

  • Once the evaluator has reviewed the answer booklets, they will enter the marks into the system.
  • The entered marks will be automatically saved and linked to the corresponding booklet ID and Bundle ID.

Chief Review:

  • After marks are awarded, a chief reviewer will be assigned to oversee the evaluation.
  • The chief reviewer is responsible for a cursory check of the marks and any anomalies in the evaluation.

Scrutinizer Review:

  • The scrutinizer conducts a thorough review of the evaluation, ensuring that all marking guidelines have been followed.
  • Any discrepancies found by the scrutinizer are flagged for correction.

Completing the Evaluation:

  • Once the scrutinizer approves the evaluation, the status updates to 'Evaluation Completed'.
  • This final step confirms that the evaluation process for the bundle is finished and the results are ready for compilation and release.

Purpose and Integration:

These features ensure a robust and transparent evaluation process within the ExamX platform, enhancing the accuracy and fairness of the physical evaluation of examinations. The integration of these steps within the ExamX suite allows for seamless management and oversight of the entire evaluation workflow.
