Grading Templates
Introduction
The Grade Templates feature within the examX module of CampX is a sophisticated tool designed to simplify and standardize the grading process for educators. This feature provides customizable templates that faculty members can use to efficiently assign and calculate grades for various assessments, including quizzes, exams, and assignments. With an intuitive interface and flexible design, the Grade Templates function streamlines the grading process, ensuring consistency and accuracy in evaluating student performance.
Accessing Grade Templates:
- From the 'Settings' menu, select 'Grade Templates'.
- You will see a list of existing grading scales for various programs.
Reviewing and Understanding Grade Templates:
- On the 'Grade Templates' page, you can view the range of grades from 'Fail' to 'Outstanding'.
- Each grade is associated with a letter, name, points, and the minimum marks required for a student to achieve that grade.
Creating a New Grade Template:
- Click the 'Add New Grade' button to start creating a new grade entry.
- Enter the necessary details such as the grade letter, name, point value, and the minimum and maximum marks range.
- There is also an option to mark a grade as an 'Absent' or 'Failed' grade if applicable.
- Once all details are entered, click 'Create Grade' to add the grade to the template.
Editing and Deleting Grades:
- To modify an existing grade, find the grade entry and click the edit icon.
- To remove a grade from the template, select the delete option next to the corresponding grade.
Guidelines for Grade Templates:
- Ensure that the grading scale aligns with the academic standards of your institution.
- Double-check the minimum and maximum marks to avoid overlaps or gaps in the grading scale.
- Remember to save any changes made to preserve the updated grading information.
By accurately managing 'Grade Templates', educators can ensure fair and consistent grading across different courses and departments within the educational institution.
