Introduction to ExamX Users

The 'ExamX Users' section is a pivotal component of the ExamX suite, dedicated to the management of user roles and permissions critical for the structured and secure administration of exams. It allows for the detailed assignment of roles to individuals, ensuring that each user has access to appropriate functionalities within the system.

To access the 'ExamX Users' page:

  1. Start from the ExamX home page.
  2. Navigate to 'Settings'.
  3. Select 'People' to view the 'ExamX Users' page.

Adding Users:

To add users to the ExamX suite:

  1. Click on the 'Add User Profile Relation' button located at the top right corner of the 'ExamX Users' page.
  2. In the form that appears, select the appropriate department, user, and profile from the dropdown menus.
  3. Once all options are selected, submit the form to assign the roles.

Note: Please note that it is not possible to add new users directly through this interface. If there is a need to introduce a new user to the system, please reach out to your campus administrator. They will facilitate the addition of new users to the ExamX suite.

Using the ExamX Users Page:

  • Search for Users: Utilize the search function to find users by name.
  • View and Edit Assigned Profiles: Check the roles assigned to each user and make changes as needed.
  • Remove Users: Safely revoke a user's access when their role in exam management ends.
  • Manage User Roles: Assign new roles to users, ensuring they have the access needed to perform their tasks.

Default Roles:

The standard roles in ExamX include:

  • Administrator
  • Exam Coordinator
  • Member
  • Seating Plan Administrator

Managing users within ExamX:

  • Guarantees appropriate access levels for all users.
  • Ensures examinations are administered by authorized personnel.
  • Provides a clear audit trail of user actions within the ExamX suite.

By effectively managing user roles, the 'ExamX Users' page plays an essential role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of your institution's examination administration.
