Internal Marks

Introduction

Internal marks are a critical component of a student’s overall performance assessment in the semester-end examination. The Internal Marks Entry feature in the examX module provides a streamlined method for faculty to input and manage these marks within CampX. This guide will walk you through the various methods available for updating internal marks.

  1. Log into your CampX account.
  2. From the left sidebar under the ‘Exams’ section, click on ‘Internal Marks’ to access the internal marks management page.

Using the Internal Marks Entry Feature:

Updating Marks from LMS:

If you are using a Learning Management System (LMS) that is integrated with CampX, you can directly pull the internal marks from the LMS.

  1. Click on the ‘Update Marks From LMS’ button to import marks.
  2. Ensure that the LMS is up-to-date with all the required marks before importing.

Manual Marks Entry:

To enter marks manually:

  1. Use the ‘Apply Filters’ section to select the relevant Program, Batch, and Course.
  2. Click on ‘Get Marks’ to retrieve the student list for the selected course.
  3. Enter the marks against each student ID and name.
  4. For absent students, check the ‘Absent’ box to indicate their non-participation.

Importing Marks Sheet:

For bulk updates, you can import a complete marks sheet.

  1. Click on ‘Import Marks Sheet’ and upload the file containing the internal marks.
  2. Ensure that the file format matches the requirements specified by CampX.

Unlocking to Edit:

In case you need to make edits to already submitted marks:

  1. Click on ‘Unlock To Edit’ to enable modifications.
  2. Provide a valid reason for the update in the ‘Update Reason’ section.
  3. After making the necessary changes, re-lock the entries to secure the data.
