Introduction to the Academic Calendar

The Academic Calendar in CampX Square is a detailed schedule that outlines the academic activities for a specific degree, batch, and semester, including holidays, instructional units, and exam dates.

  1. Go to Configurations > Academics > Academic Calendar.
  2. Use the filters for Degree, Batch, and Semester to view the relevant calendar.

Viewing Calendar Details

  • After applying filters, a card displaying the title with Degree, Batch, and Semester appears.
  • The table within the card details the schedule of holidays, instruction units, exams, etc.

Adding New Events

  1. Click +Add New to schedule a new event for the selected semester.
  2. Choose the event type (Classwork or Holiday).
    • For Classwork: Select subtypes like 'Unit of Instruction', 'Mid exam', etc.
    • For Holidays: Choose between 'Mandatory' or 'Optional'.
  3. Provide the 'Title', 'From Date', and 'To Date', then create the event.

Purpose

  • The academic calendar informs timetable configuration, providing clear start and end dates for semesters, as well as all classwork and holiday periods.
  • Timetable and session management, which will be detailed in separate documents, rely on the academic calendar for accurate scheduling.

Academic Holidays

The Holidays page in CampX Square consolidates all scheduled academic holidays across various academic calendars for easy reference and planning.

Accessing the Holidays Page

  1. Navigate to Configurations > Academics > Holidays.
  2. Use the date filters on the left side to select a specific date range.

Viewing Holidays

  • The page will display a list of all holidays within the selected date range.
  • Holidays are compiled from all academic calendars, ensuring comprehensive coverage.

This feature is designed to assist in academic planning by providing a centralized view of all holiday dates.

This system ensures a structured and well-planned academic experience for all parties involved within the institution.
