Course Content in a Subject

Purpose and Scope

The Course Content feature within CampX is a dynamic tool for faculty to enrich their course offerings with various types of educational materials. It allows the addition of text, images, videos, and files to specific topics under units in a subject/course, fostering a richer learning experience.

Accessing the Feature

Faculty can access the course content for their assigned subjects and classrooms by navigating to Classrooms and then My Classrooms.

Functionality Overview

  • Within the classroom view, faculty will find a tab labeled Course Content.
  • This section displays the Units and Topics that have been set up as part of the academic configuration.

Adding Content to Topics

  • By clicking on a Topic, faculty are presented with an Add button dropdown, allowing them to add different types of content such as Text, Images/Videos, and Files.
  • The type of content to be added can be selected from the dropdown menu.

Managing Course Materials

  • Faculty can rearrange the added components to suit the flow of their course.
  • They also have the ability to edit or delete any piece of content as needed.

Integration with Student Experience

Mobile App Accessibility

  • The content added by the faculty is accessible to students through the mobile app, within the respective subject section.
  • Students can reference this material as needed, facilitating continuous learning outside the classroom.

Course Registry Maintenance

  • This feature assists the college in maintaining a registry of their courses and subjects, ensuring that a comprehensive record of educational materials is kept.
