Assigning Faculty to Classrooms Feature

Purpose and Scope

The 'Assigning Faculty to Classrooms' feature is a vital aspect of the CampX platform's classroom management functionality. It ensures that faculties are systematically assigned to specific subjects for each new semester.

Accessing the Feature

To utilize this feature, users should navigate to the Classrooms section within the Classrooms Page.

Functionality Overview

Subject Listing for Semester

  • The platform displays a list of subjects for the selected semester.
  • Each subject card includes details such as the subject name, assigned faculty (if any), and class average attendance.

Assigning Faculty

  • Click on the three dots ('more' options) beside a subject to reveal the Assign Faculty option.

  • If no faculty member is currently assigned to the subject, this option will be available to select.

Faculty Assignment Form

  • Upon selecting Assign Faculty, users can filter faculty members by department.
  • Select the desired faculty from the dropdown list.
  • Multiple faculty members can be assigned to a single subject.
  • Submit the form to finalize the faculty assignment to the subject.

Reassigning Faculty

  • For subjects with existing faculty assignments, the option changes to Reassign Faculty.
  • Click this to change the assigned faculty by following the same process as the initial assignment.

Workflow Integration

Timetable Configuration

  • It is recommended to assign faculty to all subjects before configuring the timetable to prevent any scheduling conflicts or discrepancies.
  • The 'Timetable Management' tool should be used post-assignment to ensure an accurate and conflict-free schedule.
