The Employee Biometric Database is a feature within CampX that allows institutions to connect their employee attendance systems with the platform. This feature integrates with various attendance hardware, facilitating seamless synchronization of punch-in and punch-out data for accurate attendance tracking. This guide provides a step-by-step process for managing Employee Biometric Database within the PeopleX Platform.
Getting Started
To begin managing Employee Biometric Database
, here’s how to navigate:
- Sign in to your CampX account and access PeopleX app.
- Click
Settings
on the PeopleX Sidebar. - Click on
Employee Biometric Database
to view the database connected for that specific organization.
Creation of Database Connection
To create a new database connection for Biometric logs:
- Navigate to the Biometric Logs Database Configuration module within CampX.
- Click on the
Add Database Configuration
button. - Fill in the required fields:
- Host: Enter the IP address or hostname of the database server.
- Username: Provide the username for database access.
- Password: Enter the password associated with the username.
- Port: Specify the port number on which the database server is listening.
- Database: Type in the name of the database where Biometric logs are stored.
- Timezone: Select the appropriate timezone for the database server.
- Click
Save
to establish the connection with the specified Biometric log database.
Updating Database Connection
To update an existing database connection:
- In the Biometric Logs Database Configuration, locate the connection you wish to update.
- Click on the
edit
icon next to the connection details. - Modify the necessary fields as described in the creation process.
- Confirm the changes by clicking
Save
.
- PeopleX platform is already integrated with the databases of leading attendance system providers such as ZKTeco and ESSL. This pre-established integration streamlines the setup process, ensuring compatibility and ease of use.
- If your institution is using any other hardware device, our PeopleX team will coordinate with the provider and complete the integration.
