Introduction​

The Employee Biometric Database is a feature within CampX that allows institutions to connect their employee attendance systems with the platform. This feature integrates with various attendance hardware, facilitating seamless synchronization of punch-in and punch-out data for accurate attendance tracking. This guide provides a step-by-step process for managing Employee Biometric Database within the PeopleX Platform.

Getting Started​

To begin managing Employee Biometric Database, here’s how to navigate:

  1. Sign in to your CampX account and access PeopleX app.
  2. Click Settingson the PeopleX Sidebar.
  3. Click on Employee Biometric Database to view the database connected for that specific organization.

Creation of Database Connection​

To create a new database connection for Biometric logs:

  1. Navigate to the Biometric Logs Database Configuration module within CampX.
  2. Click on the Add Database Configuration button.
  3. Fill in the required fields:
    • Host: Enter the IP address or hostname of the database server.
    • Username: Provide the username for database access.
    • Password: Enter the password associated with the username.
    • Port: Specify the port number on which the database server is listening.
    • Database: Type in the name of the database where Biometric logs are stored.
    • Timezone: Select the appropriate timezone for the database server.
  4. Click Save to establish the connection with the specified Biometric log database.

Updating Database Connection​

To update an existing database connection:

  1. In the Biometric Logs Database Configuration, locate the connection you wish to update.
  2. Click on the edit icon next to the connection details.
  3. Modify the necessary fields as described in the creation process.
  4. Confirm the changes by clicking Save.
Biometric Devices Integration
  1. PeopleX platform is already integrated with the databases of leading attendance system providers such as ZKTeco and ESSL. This pre-established integration streamlines the setup process, ensuring compatibility and ease of use.
  2. If your institution is using any other hardware device, our PeopleX team will coordinate with the provider and complete the integration.

The Biometric Logs Database Configuration feature allows institutions to:

  • Automatically import attendance data into CampX.
  • Ensure attendance records are up-to-date and accurately reflect employee presence.
