The Research Projects
module is an essential feature of the CampX platform, designed to facilitate collaboration and management of research projects within the campus community. It allows faculty to initiate, manage, and collaborate on research projects, enhancing the institution's research capabilities and academic contributions.
Accessing the Feature
Users can access this feature by navigating to Research Projects
from the main menu, which provides an overview of ongoing research initiatives.
Functionality Overview
Viewing Existing Projects
- The main page for research projects displays a grid view of all existing projects.
- Users can utilize search and filter options to find specific projects.
Creating New Research Projects
- To create a new research project, users click the
New Research Project
button. - The creation form prompts users to input details such as:
- Project Cover Image: A visual representation of the research project.
- Research Project Title: The official title of the project.
- Research Area or Field: The specific domain of the research.
- Description/Abstract: A summary of the research project's goals and methodology.
- Start and End Date: The projected timeline for the research.
- Keywords: Terms associated with the research topic for easy referencing.
- Lead Researcher: A faculty member chosen to head the research project.
- Project Members: Faculty or students who will be part of the research team.
- Additional Details: Funding sources, patent status, and any relevant attachments.
Student Interaction and Participation
- Students can view ongoing research projects and express their interest in participating by sending joining requests.
- Lead researchers can review these requests and either approve or reject them, managing the composition of their research team.
